About Me

'Project Accessory' is one of two 'Project Runway' spin-off shows announced earlier this year by The Weinstein Company and the Lifetime Network. In 'Project Accessory' 12 designers in varied accessory fields are brought together to battle it out in a series of fashion challenges. However there are some differences that might be hard for 'Project Runway' fans to accept. Perhaps most importantly 'Project Runway' personalities Tim Gunn, Heidi Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia are nowhere to be found. Cheap Jordans Instead the show is Cheap Jordan 3 hosted by Molly Sims, who judges each challenge with the help of Ariel Foxman and Kenneth Cole, along with a different celebrity guest judge. Eva Lorenzotti takes Tim Gunn's place as mentor for the increasingly beleaguered accessory designers.
Click here to see Heidi Klum's new accessory line
Like any new show it takes time for the cast and crew to find their rhythm and figure out their own dynamics. While no one can deny the experience the 'Project Accessory' judges, host, and mentor bring to the show they lack the camaraderie and spark between each other that 'Project Runway' fans take for granted between Klum, Kors, and Garcia. Also missing, so far at least, are the sharp critiques we've come to expect, via Nina Garcia, or the hilarious Michael Kors-esque quips. So far the judging on 'Project Accessory' has been far too timid and far too nice.
Also missing is Atlas Apartments, 'Project Runway' designers home away from home, and Parsons the New School for Design as host to the designer's workshops. Minor differences, to be sure, but small differences add up for many loyal fans.
Now that the second episode has aired fans are finding many other small differences from 'Project Runway'. The set, while similar to its roots, is a little more... full of bling, than the traditional 'Project Runway' set. From the sparkly logo to the bejeweled blue background and strangely narrow runway 'Project Accessory' come across as, sorry, a little cheap looking.
There's certainly no lack of talent among the hopeful accessory designers though. While many of them lack the education and fashion industry experience boasted by the average 'Project Runway' fashion designer so far fans seemed to be blown away by the sheer talent Cheap Jordan 11 and artistry of the season one 'Project Accessory' designers.
So far 'Project Accessory' has seen a boost in viewership thanks to its proximity to the 'Project Runway: Season Nine' finale and curiosity about the show.
